Rise Baking Company Supplier Documentation Specialist in Tucker, Georgia
Job Purpose
Support the effective implementation, execution, and management of the Supplier Quality Program by managing supplier-provided documentation. Provide support for facility GFSI, Kosher, RSPO, Sustainability, and other Food Safety programs through data analysis, ensuring compliance across the company.
Essential Functions
Maintain supplier and material documentation in supplier system TraceGains
Work with suppliers to ensure documentation is provided as requested
Set up new materials and suppliers in TraceGains as new projects/requests dictate
Manage kosher raw material program including new material setup, facility Schedule A, user accounts, etc.
Maintain supplier compliance data in TraceGains to ensure accurate reporting and tracking
Provide reports for internal customers identifying new suppliers and materials and for which facilities
Review and approve supplier-provided documentation, escalating to internal team experts when necessary
Assist with company certification programs (RSPO, cocoa sustainability, etc.) by reviewing supplier certificates and ensuring documentation is properly designated as required
Support the Regulatory and Supplier Quality team in quality system improvements, closing out customer complaints, providing metrics and communication to plants, etc.
Maintain a working knowledge of FDA regulations, SQF requirements, and industry trends for document requirements and risk analysis decisions
Upload supplier-provided documentation into Trace Gains
Ensure co-packers and third-party logistics firms upload documents as requested
Ensure all supplier documentation is kept up to date
Track and provide feedback on supplier document trends
Interface with other departments as part of a team to accomplish projects
Assist department with supplier and material risk assessments
Maintain consistent communication with internal customers to resolve supplier record requests promptly
Work closely with Senior Supplier Quality Program Manager to provide both administrative and special project support as needed
Provide assistance with company integrations as needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
Bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science, or related discipline
2+ years of experience in food supplier quality
PCQI, Auditor, HACCP, ASQ, GFSI certifications preferred
Good understanding of PC applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
Experience working with TraceGains preferred
Data analysis and statistics knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels and functions of the company
Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
