Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Associate Director, Global Procurement - Raw Materials in Troy, New York
This person will be responsible for leading a team of Global Procurement resources that support and maintain all sourcing aspects of procurement operations related to the Raw Materials category. The major activities include but are not limited to the following: Develop and lead discussions related to the Direct Materials categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders in particular on the identification and approval of secondary sources from a supplier and material qualification perspective.
A typical day might include:
Help define and implement the global Direct materials category strategy to serve global and regional business needs
Manages negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Direct materials category as assigned.
Works with leadership to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
Represents Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Direct Materials categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of Global Procurement.
Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
Manages category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements.
May provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports (if applicable) and provides leadership examples for the organization.
This role might be for you if you:
Have experience successfully managing global category processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
Build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results for Regeneron.
Demonstrate success managing cross-functional teams to drive results in the Direct Materials categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
Provide expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
Use external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.
Experience leading and guiding associate level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports is preferred.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma. You will also need a working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
