Systems Engineer Controls (Troy, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.) Responsibilities include: Developing new features/functions at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and managing feature upgrade and migration plans. Performing new feature systems design to meet customer needs through integration of hardware (as applicable), software, sensors, actuators in electrical and electromechanical feature/function systems. Developing high level network, wiring and power distribution topologies / schematics / block diagrams. Driving features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality, and feature performance targets. Developing feature systems specifications, systems Failure Mode Avoidance documentation improvement. Interacting with program teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solutions to competing requirements. Developing relationships with the supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementations. Analyzing complex cross-functional systems and implementing innovative solutions. Participating in trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams. Communicating complex systems, issues, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner. Applying Model Based Systems Engineering approach to define feature requirement and architecture diagrams with model as the source of truth for feature/function systems design. Providing verification, functional safety, systems-level cybersecurity plans. Reviewing existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality. M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or closely related. 12 mon. experience in any related Validation/Electronic Engineering position. 12 months' experience in: CANalyzer, CANoe, DTE, RadMoon, TDAS, ATI Vision, Vehicle-Spy, validation of high/low temp loop for vehicle battery. 40 hrs/wk.  8:00 am -- 5:00 pm.
