Laser Eye Institute Surgical Scheduler, Laser Vision Correction in Troy, Michigan

Laser Eye Institute is seeking a Surgical Scheduler for Laser Vision Correction to join our team of dedicated professionals. Responsibilities

  • Schedule initial and follow-up appointments for patients undergoing LASIK and other refractive surgeries

  • Follow up with prospective patients to answer any questions, provide cost estimates, and schedule consultation appointments

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience

  • Educate patients on preoperative and postoperative instructions, including medication use and restrictions

  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient records in electronic medical records system

  • Handle patient concerns and complaints in a professional manner and escalate as necessary

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of medical office experience required, experience in elective (cosmetic, dentistry, laser vision correction) scheduling preferred

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacology

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgments

  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
