Our Oakland County Credit Union client is looking for a Mortgage Closer. As the Mortgage Closer duties include:
Evaluates title work and surveys for potential title problems and makes decisions for appropriate action. Exercises judgment to determine when to proceed and when to obtain additional documentation.
Prepares closing packages, reviews closing information with borrowers prior to closing, and funds all closed mortgage loans.
Prepares wire transfer requests for mortgage loan funding.
Ensures compliance with file stipulations, obtains required information, and ensures closing conditions are met.
Enters closed mortgage loans into mortgage software and data processing system and performs other post-closing activities as required.
Advises members regarding loan closing process and documentation.
Identifies and suggests process or efficiency improvements related to area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience in the Mortgage industry specific to closing experience and be a team player. Proficiency within Desktop Underwriter is a plus. This is a potential temporary to hire opportunity for the right individual.
