Job Description
We are seeking skilled welders for multiple shifts at our Troutville location. This position involves working with Stick, MIG, Flux Core, or Acetylene Torch welding techniques. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following verbal and written instructions, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety, and performing routine maintenance on welding equipment.
Responsibilities
Follow verbal and written instructions to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety.
Review, read, and understand blueprints, tape measures, calculations, and basic shop-related mathematical skills.
Obtain precut parts from the storage area as needed.
Weld component assemblies as per specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy of work.
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on welding equipment as needed.
Sign or initial own work and record production as required by the area supervisor.
Maintain a neat and organized work area, completing daily housekeeping assignments.
Operate machinery for the production of pre-welding parts as needed.
Clean all welded parts, grind, and de-burr parts prior to release.
Essential Skills
Experience with MIG, Stick, Flux Core, or Oxy/Acetylene Torch welding techniques (ideally 2 years of experience).
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding.
Basic mathematical skills related to shop work.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high quality and safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with TIG welding, stainless steel, and aluminum welding.
Experience with plasma cutting, grinding, beveling, and cutting torch operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is an inside plant warehouse. You will be working in a structured and organized facility, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. Shifts available include Monday to Friday, 5 PM to 5 AM, and Friday to Sunday, 5 AM to 5 PM and 5 PM to 5 AM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troutville, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
