Oracle Learning & Development Consultant in Trenton, New Jersey

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced learning professional to help drive Oracle's enterprise learning and skills strategy throughout all aspects of our business. As a Learning and Development Consultant, you'll play a key role in enabling and supporting our upskilling strategy and initiatives for critical enterprise skills, integrating skills into our HR/Talent processes, and providing skills intelligence to support data-driven talent management decisions.

The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker with a deep expertise in learning who likes to take initiative and brings fresh perspectives on trends and opportunities to support skill development. The Learning and Development Consultant will

  • Collaborate closely with leaders, teams, and stakeholders within HR and across Oracle as well as external vendors

  • Develop trusted relationships, build alignment across global and line of business activities

  • Establish and track key performance metrics and measurement standards to measure success.

  • Demonstrate agility and comfortability working in high levels of ambiguity, finding fun in the collaborative work, and pivoting quickly as needs dictate.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for supporting and delivering on our enterprise learning and skills strategy. Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to)

  • Partnering with and enabling HR partners and learning teams who support business initiatives to build critical skills, including helping them successfully use our Oracle Learning and Development technology and features (e.g. Job Role Guides), ensuring alignment to our global skills strategy, and providing content curation support.

  • Lead enterprise skills-related learning solutions, including creating and managing of learning paths for business and leadership critical skills, curation of content for solutions, developing skills spotlights, and other ongoing communication of skills.

  • Collaborate on development of learning experiments for business and leadership critical skills (e.g. Coursera cohorts for critical enterprise skills), including potential facilitation of learning solutions.

  • Plan and execute ongoing measurement of leadership and business skill development, including recommendations for measuring success.

  • Support enablement of the global skills strategy by contributing to various skills intelligence and skills strategy initiatives.

  • Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our approach to skills.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum of 8 years working or consulting in the learning and development space. Specific work in targeted skill development a plus.

  • A self-starter with the ability to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.

  • Proven consulting skills and the ability to build trust and credibility with HR, business teams, and partners.

  • Experience with learning technologies, including tracking advancements in the learning tech space.

  • Familiarity with the learning/content vendor space; experience working with content and learning vendors at a global level.

  • Experience developing learning experiences, including content strategy, content analysis, and curation.

  • Experience working in global, rapidly changing, and complex environments.

  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect dots and work in areas that are unknown or lack sufficient information.

  • Data-driven with strong business acumen and the ability to align skills strategy with business needs.

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills that allow you to engage with colleagues at any level and form successful partnerships for achieving consensus and results.

  • Minimum BA/BS degree in a related field or related years of work experience.

  • Proven ability to develop and present ideas and recommendations to executive-level decision makers.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
