We are seeking a dedicated site superintendent/leader to join our northern Michigan team. The site superintendent will oversee and manage a crew responsible for drywall and steel stud interior framing projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will manage multiple jobsites in the Petoskey area until completion before moving onto the next project scheduled in Northern Michigan.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage crews responsible for drywall and steel stud interior framing projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Manage multiple jobsites in the Petoskey area and transition to new projects as scheduled.
Coordinate project scheduling and subcontractor management.
Implement and enforce safety measures in compliance with OSHA standards.
Essential Skills
5+ years experience working with steel stud and drywall finishing.
2+ years experience in a supervisory role, such as site leadership.
Proficiency in commercial construction practices.
Strong project management and construction supervision skills.
Understanding of construction safety and renovation practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Additional experience in flooring installation.
Proficient in interior flooring construction.
Work Environment
The role requires 40-hour work weeks with flexible work locations across Northern Michigan. Projects are spread throughout the region, and the company covers expenses for mileage or lodging if needed. The superintendent will report to both the project manager and general superintendent.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
