Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot rig equipment. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rig operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling rigs and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter, to assess electrical systems and components.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
Assist in the training of junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience required.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
Ability to utilize diagnostic tools, such as an ohmmeter.
Commitment to safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license; CDL is preferred.
Demonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to drive a standard transmission.
Ability to work in a field environment in all weather conditions and noisy environments.
Physically demanding position requiring the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift heavy materials, carry, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, and bend repeatedly.

Work Environment
This position involves working in the shop and occasionally going to the field. Fieldwork will require riding in a company truck. The work environment can be physically demanding and may involve exposure to various weather conditions and noisy environments.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Townville, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
