Englewood Lab, Inc Financial Analyst- Cost Management- (Accounting) in Totowa, New Jersey

The Financial Analyst-Cost Management is responsible in supporting Englewood Lab's financial health and growth strategy. The Financial Analyst-Cost Management will leverage their analytical and technical skills to optimize pricing, mange inventory costs, and generate insightful reports for informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Planning & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop a comprehensive annual business plan.

  • Monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for strategic alignment.

  • Conduct industry research to stay informed on market trends.

  • Cost Management & Optimization:

  • Analyze inventory costs from financial and operational perspectives.

  • Manage monthly cost closing procedures for accurate cost allocation.

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation through master file management.

  • Develop strategies for disposing of excess or obsolete inventory.

  • Review and assess inventory counting procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis of material prices, production processes, and key expenses.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly business performance reports, analyzing trends and identifying potential issues.

  • Analyze actual production costs and variances.

  • Regularly download and analyze data to assess product profitability.

  • Generate presentations for leadership, summarizing key financial insights.

  • Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Maintain Internal Audit Control System (IACS) planning and testing procedures.

  • Review IACS plans and prepare test procedures for Controller approval.

  • Conduct IACS testing and report results.

  • Prepare bi-annual IACS operational status reports for relevant stakeholders.

  • Pricing & Revenue Management:

  • Manage Requests for Quotes (RFQs) from Sales, collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish pricing strategies.

  • Analyze market data and draft pricing calculations for CFO approval.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to the financing process for enhanced data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant financial analysis or cost management role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost optimization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel functions is a plus.

  • Business Management experience is preferred.

  • Bilingualism in English and Korean is a plus.
