US Tech Solutions Electromechanical Assembler Shift 2 in Totowa, New Jersey
Looking for an experienced electrical or electro-mechanical assembler to join our team in building complex chemical metrology tools.
Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience in industrial assemblies, and the ability to interpret technical documentation such as 3D models and schematics.
Responsibilities:
Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Assemble electromechanical cabinets and sub-assemblies using standard manufacturing tools.
Handle and route PVC, Teflon, and other plastic tubing throughout equipment builds.
Install and assemble pneumatics, pumps, valves, and mechanical components such as bracketry.
Interpret and work from 3D models, flow diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and resolve build issues.
Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units.
Perform basic electrical installations as needed.
Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or industrial automotive mechanics (not commercial automotive).
Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and fluid systems is highly valued.
Background in mechanical assembly in industrial settings (e.g., HVAC, machinery, industrial plumbing) is essential.
Experience troubleshooting assemblies using technical drawings and schematics.
Prior work involving pumps, valves, tubing, or structural components like bracketry is beneficial.
PCB assembly experience is not applicable.
Skills:
Wiring, Cable harnessing, Hand soldering
Electrical or electro-mechanical assembly
Pneumatic/plumbing systems: Experience with PVC, Teflon, or plastic tubing and pneumatics in industrial settings (HVAC, machinery, etc.)
Blueprint/schematic reading: Strong ability to interpret 3D models, flow diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
Troubleshooting: Proven ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues using technical drawings
Mechanical installation: Experience assembling pumps, valves, bracketry, and similar components in industrial environments
Comfortable using computer-based documentation (SAP experience a plus)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
Education:
- An AA degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training is required
