Job Title: Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector proficient in using CMM with Calypso software for part measurement and inspection. The ideal candidate will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of molded parts and components, ensuring their conformance to specifications. MUST have previous experience using CMM, willing to train in all other areas.
Responsibilities
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of molded parts and components.
Analyze CMM reports and measurement data, interpreting results for conformance to specifications.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.
Support statistical process control, capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and process validation activities.
Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for accurate measurement interpretation.
Document and maintain inspection records per ISO/IATF standards (if applicable).
Assist in developing and improving inspection methods for molded components.
Conduct manual inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision systems.
Essential Skills
Experience in inspection and CMM operation.
Knowledge of injection molding.
Some CMM/VMM measurement experience (e.g., Zeiss, Micro Vu, OGP, Hexagon, Brown & Sharpe type machines).
Laboratory experience.
CMM programming skills.

Work Environment
You will work on a production floor in the quality lab, interacting with a small team on the 2nd shift. There are other Inspectors and Supervisors in the department available to assist if needed. The schedule includes training on the 1st shift or a split shift for the first week, with potential shifts as follows: Monday-
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
