Job Description:

Academic requirements:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, bachelor's degree in administration, Logistics, or Inventory Management, or related career.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Experience in schedule analysis.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Ability to use, navigate and optimize an ERP system to plan raw material purchasing, shipping process, receiving and protecting business needs.

Abilities & Preferred Skills:

  • Possess effective communication skills.

  • Data analysis.

  • Understanding of hedging opportunities.

  • Ability to think carefully and with discernment.

  • Critical thinking for effective resource planning.

  • Follow through on instructions

  • Communicate deadlines and expectations.

General Objective

You will need to manage inventories, ensure resources are consistent with the production plan, to ensure continuity in the production and operational plan, maintain professional relationships both inside and outside the organization to ensure material requirements are met.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedule the correct delivery of material components for production requirements.

  • Correctly evaluate required volumes and ensure delivery of materials.

  • Understand and manage risks to avoid impact on production lines.

  • Utilize the MRP system to ensure information is adequate and resolve any problems encountered.

  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed levels.

  • Minimize obsolete inventory and ensure that the business has minimal liability to suppliers.

  • Report and analyze what is distributed throughout the organization to maintain the operation.

  • Determine material requirements and generate purchase orders.

  • Schedule and supervise delivery of materials and prepare efficiency reports.
