DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 2, you will supervise a team of Security officer 1s and communicate with the Fire and Safety Marshal and Safety Manager to provide a safe and secure treatment environment for the care of individuals with mental illness.  The Security Officer 2 is responsible for ensuring that the safe environment in multiple buildings is maintained and to respond to emergency situations that may arise.  Within this role, you will work independently to make vital decisions that impact security operations throughout the hospital.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Monday - Friday.

Employee may be required to supervise on all shifts.

Overtime: as needed

Travel: as needed

May change based upon operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Security Officer 1; or

Any equivalent combination of experience or training which provides the knowledges, skills, and abilities required to provide supervisory security services.

Necessary Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
