Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a detail-oriented Theatrical Marketing Manager to develop data-driven marketing strategies for our Canadian theatrical releases. This role will focus on leveraging industry research and consumer insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance across our theatrical slate.
Job Overview
The Theatrical Marketing Manager will be instrumental in developing and executing research-backed marketing strategies for Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical releases in Canada. This role combines analytical expertise with marketing acumen to drive data-informed decision-making across our theatrical campaigns. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies while maintaining strong relationships with research partners and industry analysts.
Key job responsibilities
• Create detailed audience targeting strategies based on research insights
• Monitor campaign performance metrics across all marketing channels
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and audience behavior patterns
• Provide data-driven recommendations for strategy and marketing budget allocation
• Collaborate with agencies and research partners to conduct custom studies
• Generate regular reports on market conditions and campaign effectiveness
• Support the development of marketing strategies with quantitative insights
• Track and analyze box office performance and audience demographics
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science or related field
4+ years of experience in entertainment analytics
Proven track record of using data analytics to drive marketing decisions
Experience with industry research tools (Comscore, NRG, etc.)
Strong proficiency in data visualization and presentation tools
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis
Background in theatrical distribution or exhibition
Knowledge of Canadian media landscape and theatrical market dynamics
Experience with marketing mix modeling and attribution analysis
Demonstrated success in applying research insights to marketing strategy
Comfortable presenting findings to large rooms full of internal stakeholders
