About This Role
Global Application Management provides application support to the wholesale business unit of TD Securities (TDS). This position will report to the IT Manager and provide support to the Domestic Fixed Income line at TDS. In this role, the candidate will perform day to day support for various applications, investigation / resolving production issues, testing small/ medium enhancements, liaison with ITS for gathering information and implementations. The candidate will frequently interact with Front Office, Middle Office and Back office. The candidate will also interact with business SMEs, Consultants, business analysts and developers.

Will be a point person for the group of applications supported.
Will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with front office, Operations & Finance, Treasury Credit, Risk Management, TDS Technology, ITS, and Vendors.
Assume an “ownership” role for production issues.
Will ensure timely notifications of possible issues/problems to management and provide options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
Will be responsible for opening an incident ticket in Service Desk for each incident and ensuring that the all data is filled correctly and is closed in a timely manner.
Will assist with reviewing Incident/Probelm Tickets to ensure completeness.
Will be on the pager rotation as required.
Will participate in DRP activities for various applications.
Will work with the IT Manager in standardizing the support activities within the group as required.
Will follow change control procedures all changes, and ensure that all Change Requests are accurate and properly filled out.
Will be responsible for any maintenance activities, upgrades, and releases assigned.
Sound knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio, SQL Server).
Will support a work environment that promotes customer service, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues / points of interest.
Will participate in knowledge transfer within the team, and business units.
Will participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Assist and support yearly internal and external IT audit and SOX audit.
Job Requirements :

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
5+ years relevant experience.
Advanced and extensive knowledge of the capital market including the different financial products
Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables.
5+ years' experience in working with SQL server / database.
Ability to independently and effectively troubleshoot client applications issues of moderate to high complexity
Nice to have applications knowledge such as Global, Loan IQ, DFR, Fixed Income System, ION-ANVIL, Calypso and Bloomberg.
5+ years' experience in working with linux servers
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Strong verbal, written, presentation & communication skills.
Proactive, organized, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Works well independently, as well as within a team.
Financial and/or capital markets experience is a strong asset.
Innate leadership ability
