What you'll be doing.

Contributes to the overall success of the Talent Strategy Centre of Expertise ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Contributes significantly to the development and execution of our global Employee Listening strategy.

The incumbent is responsible for managing employee listening activities, as well as developing supporting tools and resources to elevate how we collect, analyze and action employee feedback across the organization. The incumbent will support the design of our global listening program and develop communication and reporting content and insights. The incumbent will develop recommendations based on key findings and external research to inform employee experience initiatives.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Champions a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Lead the development and execution of Scotiabank’s global employee listening strategy, including supporting the deployment of engagement surveys, lifecycle surveys (e.g., New Hire, Exit, Recruitment and Hiring) and other ad-hoc surveys.

• Design and deliver key communications and reporting and insights content to Senior Leadership, and key partners and stakeholders. Manage the preparation and summarizing of key reports into comprehensive executive-ready materials to translate survey results into meaningful insights and action plans.

• Work in collaboration with key partners in Global Brand & Client Insights (and where necessary, the vendor Qualtrics) to design, build and implement the tools and resources to support our listening program and action results.

• As part of our change management practices, manage key governance groups and regular meetings to ensure proper engagement of global partners.

• Serve as the employee engagement Subject-Matter Expert helping HR partners and business leaders best leverage the program tools and resources to improve employee experience and overall business performance.

• Serve as a coach and change agent to drive behavioural change across the organization.

• Actively help internal stakeholders to understand how employee engagement relates to business results to drive greater adoption of employee listening strategy.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• 10+ years of work experience related to HR and/or Employee Listening strategy design and execution

• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and results

• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail, executive presence and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

• Possess intellectual curiosity around best-in-class HR practices (internal and external)

• Experience building strategic, trust-based relationships with multiple stakeholders with a proven ability to influence

• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion

• Undergraduate degree in Business, HR or related field; Post-graduate degree considered an asset

• CHRP, CHRL designation considered an asset

• Spanish considered an asset Spanish is considered an asset
