Insight Global Senior Data Analyst in Toronto, Ontario
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to support an established banking client in downtown Toronto. This individual will be responsible for analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the banking industry, with demonstrated proficiency in writing SQL code and using Python and SAS for data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
· Data Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and SAS to identify trends and insights.
· Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Project Management: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and data flows.

Skills and Requirements
· 7+ years of experience as a Sr Data Analyst utilizing the following platforms:
o SAS for statistical analysis and reporting.
o SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
o Python for data analysis and automation.
o Unix for data management
o PowerBi for data visualization.
· Background in banking or financial services.
· Proven knowledge of data structures, batch processing, ETL (extract-transform-load), and automation.
· Strong documentation skills.
· Must be an independent worker w/ a positive attitude.
· Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related. · Masters degree.
· Experience supporting AML (anti money laundering) business initiatives.
· Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
· Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or related fields. null
