The Opportunity:
This is a great time to join WSP as we continue to build out our Security offerings within our Technology team. In this role you will own the project from beginning to end including: Security Systems Studies, Concept Design Narratives, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, Tender Review, Project Management, Construction Administration and Project Closeout.

What you can expect to do here:
A typical week would include:
Security consulting specifically in all of the following:
Technical security systems design (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, duress, real-time locating and the integration and networking of these systems)
Physical Security Audits and Assessments
Involved in stakeholder engagement and running requirements workshops with clients and stakeholders
Participate in workshops to elicit technical and functional requirements from a broad range of stakeholders, and developing client-focused solutions across a varied mix of technologies.
Advise clients as a subject matter expert and represent WSP as leaders in the Security and Technology field.
Develop professional, client-facing documents, including technical specifications and reports, using standard software tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio and Adobe Acrobat, among others;
Interpret and review typical design and construction issue technical drawings developed using REVIT, AutoCAD and similar tools;
Participate in technical and project meetings with a varied audience and participant mix, including management/executive, end-user, and technical personnel;
Instruct and guide less experienced team members in the development/production of CAD/Revit project deliverables;
What you’ll bring to WSP:
Min 5 years’ experience in a security consultancy
Familiarity with alternate delivery models (Alliance, DBFM, Design Build, etc.) is an asset.
Experience with Threat Risk Assessments and Physical Security is an asset
Be accomplished in delivering presentations
Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 security clearance and work in a secure environment.
Must be able to work normal hours of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but also be willing to work overtime including evening and weekends when necessary.
Must be willing to travel periodically and as required for project assignments.
Must hold valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to client sites.
