Production Kitchen Chef
VG Group is looking for a Production Kitchen Chef in Toronto, ON!
We are looking to hire a critical thinker and skilled problem-solver with retail shop skills to join our retail team with cross-over into production and farming. You will assist our efforts by ensuring our offerings and efforts are of the highest quality and honour the efforts put in by all that contribute and consume. To do well in this role, you should have a vast knowledge of the culinary arts, food prep operations and retail, be highly skilled, and have a strong desire to make decisions that lead to regeneration.
Hours:
$25.00/hr
44 to 48 hours per week
Main duties
Production Kitchen Chef performs some or all of the following duties:
Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in wholesale sales
Manage staff and assign duties
Collaborate with peer groups
Determine merchandise and services to be sold.
Support set up and development of new items
Develop and implement product offerings
Improve current product offerings
Support Financial plans and authorize expenditures
Resolve customer complaints
Oversee Kitchen and hot food service operations
Support and lead continuous improvement in operations
Cure, cook and smoke various retail offerings
Develop and support the development of various recipes
Learn and lead the use of current and newly implemented systems
Employment requirements
A university degree or college diploma in Culinary Arts or other field related is required.
5 years of butchery, meat processing or related retail sales experience
