Job Description
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of 4 diamond service in Banquets. This individual is to ensure proper training and supervision of all associates in banquets to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Maintain food & beverage standards and consistent guest experience as documented by Medallia
Execute all Omni Hotels facility standards and guidelines
Ensure a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in food and beverage
Identify and purchase supplies, and record all data pertaining to Banquet events
Maintain a highly motivated and well-trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service
Close coordination and communication with other internal departments
Monitor all guest requests to ensure they are met within the prescribed time limits
Inspect and tour all banquets areas several times daily, ensuring that they are clean, inviting, and project a 4-Diamond/4-Star quality
Actively engaged with our guests and all hotel associates
Encourage staff to create unique, personalized memorable experiences at every opportunity
Other duties as assigned by Assistant Food and Beverage Director
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing an upscale Food & Beverage environment within a union environment
Minimum 1 year experience in running banquet events for 100-300 people (receptions/weddings/dinners/conferences)
Developed proficiency with forecasting, cost controls and scheduling through related experience
Proven leadership skills which support an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service
Must have the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed
Must be service and detail oriented; possessing a friendly, approachable demeanor, and exceptional problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency; to include Microsoft Office and Windows. Micros POS experience preferred. Experience managing payroll an asset
Bachelor degree or College diploma in Hotel Management preferred
Must have SMART SERVE Certification
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
