RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide training to Whirlpool’s trade partner, key influencers, and internal partners to increase sales and generate revenue while increasing brand loyalty

  • Creating engaging and timely content using a variety of software and tools along with participating in various virtual and in person training events.

  • Responsible for creating, curating, sharing and maintaining content found on our trade facing website and are a resource for other functions within Whirlpool Canada.

  • Develop new training ‘experiences’ and innovative demonstrations to improve engagement and knowledge retention

  • Collaborate with internal teams and individuals such as Product Managers, Account Managers and National Account Managers along with additional key supporting roles within Whirlpool both at head office and the field.

  • Interface with multiple stakeholders to be aware of product launches and become experts to support the launch

  • Work withbrand and category managers to ensure up to date training information while supporting the brands launch initiatives

  • Maintain close communication with field sales to ensure training contentrelates to the current market environment

  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions

  • Design effective training programs

  • Selectand book venues

  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.

  • Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.

  • Support and mentor newemployees

  • Keep attendance and other records

  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement

  • Monitor employee performance and response to training

  • Delivery post-training take-aways and surveys

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree, required

  • Bilingual (English/French), required

  • Background in Service, considered an asset

  • Superior communication and presentation skills withan innovative mind

  • Strong computer skills and initiative to develop further

  • Self-initiative to understand our products, their features & consumer benefits as well as competitors

  • Passion for retail, product knowledge and comfortable being in front of an audience both online and in person

  • Detail orientated

  • Team player that exhibits exceptional relationship building, cross-functional and communication skills

  • Flexible with work and personal schedules to meet training commitments

  • Some evening, weekends and flex schedule timerequired as well as travel

  • Available to travel up to 50% of role

  • Possess a reliable automobile for driving, position requires overnight travel

  • Must have a valid driver’slicense
