Moneris Business Continuity Analyst (Hybrid) in Toronto, Canada

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will support the Manager, Enterprise Business Continuity Management (EBCM) and the EBCM Specialist in the implementation and maintenance of the enterprise-wide business continuity program and the supporting plans and processes consistent with Moneris’ business objectives, policies and standards. Help improve the business continuity management program by maintaining the BCM software application and tools, and, by assisting with user training and workshops to undertake risk assessments, Business Impact Analyses (BIA), response and recovery planning, vendor management, and business continuity validation exercises. Through use of these means, you will help make the BCM program activities intuitive, user-friendly, and overall, in minimizing, if not mitigating, adverse effects of events that may cause interruption to the business.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Manager, Enterprise Business Continuity and Risk Change Enablement.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • System administration of the Moneris BCM systems (FusionRM, MIR3), including daily maintenance with any break-fix items, user access and setup, user issues, collaborating with the vendor.

  • Working with the BCM Specialist and Manager, oversee the system change and enhancement roadmap; implement minor system changes on your own and with support from the Specialist and Manager; lead major changes on behalf of EBCM Team including testing, documentation, and vendor engagement.

  • Support and train BCP coordinators, backup coordinators, and plan owners on the FusionRM as system subject matter expert; create user guides, Moneris’ internal EBCM web page, and any other training content in Workday, working with the Specialist.

  • Support the Manager and Specialist as required during the Annual BCP Review Cycle including the tracking and reporting of team progress against the schedule, follow-up and closure of action items.

  • Ensure that employee records are kept up to date in Fusion, MIR3, Outlook, and any other non-system or process documents; support all business continuity education and awareness activities including the Business Continuity Awareness Week.

  • Support with planning and executing department and Crisis Management Team (CMT) table-top exercises; support annual internal audit and ISO22301 external audit activities.

  • Provide support during all planned or unplanned events that require involvement of the EBCM Team, BCM Core Team, or the Crisis Management Team.

  • Maintain professional upkeep to keep abreast of industry best practices and trends with a view to improving Moneris’ BCM program.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • 1-3 years of work experience and reasonable depth of exposure to Business Continuity Management processes and best practices

  • Bachelor's Degree (Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, FusionRM, or other BCM software system

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to work with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level

  • Proficiency in creating presentations

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal) - Bilingualism is an asset

  • Previous experience in the payments or financial services industries considered is an asset

  • Experience in project management and Disaster Recovery (DR) is an asset

  • Capability to multi-task and prioritize work to consistently meet deadlines
