NASCO Senior Compensation Analyst in Topeka, Kansas
Overview
The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and administering the companies compensation programs to ensure they remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives. This role provides expert guidance on salary structures, incentive plans, and job architecture, supporting a growing IT product company in the healthcare industry. The analyst partners closely with HR, finance, and business leaders to drive data-driven decisions that support talent attraction, retention, and organizational growth. This role also serves as support for payroll and benefits and a backup to the administration of those functions.This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Design
Conducts market research and benchmarking using industry-specific compensation data to ensure company remains competitive in the Product IT and healthcare technology sectors
Designs, evaluates, and maintains salary structures for job descriptions/ families tailored to technical and non-technical roles
Partners with HR and business leaders on job evaluations, leveling, promotions, and other pay analyses
Supports the design and administration of short- and long-term incentive programs, including performance-based bonuses and incentive programs
Provides expert guidance on compensation strategies for all roles including specialized IT and leader roles, such as software engineers and cloud architects up to VPs
Compensation Planning & Operations
Manages the annual compensation cycle, including salary increases, bonus planning, and pay adjustments
Conducts compensation modeling and pay structure analysis to inform business decisions
Audits compensation processes and practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations
Partners with the finance team to ensure data integrity in finance and compensation-related systems
Provides compensation consulting and training to HR business partners and leaders
Analytics & Compliance
Develops dashboards and reports that provide insights into compensation trends, incentive structures, and workforce analytics
Conducts internal pay equity reviews and recommends adjustments to ensure fairness and compliance
Supports audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting related to compensation, payroll and benefits
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, market pricing, and incentive plan design
Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling) with the ability to analyze large datasets
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and deliver clear, actionable insights
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into business-friendly insights
Familiar with payroll and benefits administration
Experience:
5 years’ of experience in compensation analysis, preferably in an IT, healthcare technology, or growth-oriented company
2 years’ experience working with HRIS and compensation tools
5 years’ of demonstrated experience developing compensation models for various levels of roles and creating decision-ready presentations
Required Training, Certification and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Training, Certification and Education:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification
Working Conditions:
Location : Based in GA. Home office/remote with ability to come into Atlanta office as necessary
Must be able to sit and use equipment at workstation for up to 8 hours
Occasional weekend work required
