Clean Harbors InSite Technician in Topeka, Kansas

Clean Harbors in Topeka, KS is seeking an Insite Technician to join our safety conscious team. This person would be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling and segregation of carbon black in a confined space entry site in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client location in Topeka, KS, Goodyear .

  • Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;

  • Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;

  • Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;

  • Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;

  • Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

  • Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;

  • Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;

  • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required;

  • Hazardous waste experience a plus;

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record;

  • Perform physical functions per job requirements;

  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position;

  • Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience

  • Previous relevant labor experience
