Define a new approach for metrics, processes, standards and tools to quantitatively measure and report on the progress of our e2e delivery, consistently across all projects/products, all types of demand and all Service Lines.

The role reports into the Client Technology Delivery and Quality Leader. The scope is the end-to-end software development lifecycle (for products and projects) involving all the main CT delivery functions, from demand intake to engineering to client service operations, with primary focus on implementing measurability of the development process in Engineering. Define and execute a phased plan for the rollout of the new approach, working closely with the leaders of involved functions (e.g. Engineering).

The role is key as:

  • directly impacts CT’s ability to structurally become more efficient through standardization across all dimensions.

  • infuses a “continuous improvement” mindset consistently across the entire CT practice

  • create a positive image of CT, inside and outside, of an efficient delivery organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing and full alignment with leadership of each involved function, primarily: Engineering, Demand Management and Solution Architecture, Client Service Operations, Practice/Domains, Quality Assurance/CMMI, Product Governance.

  • Work with service line leaders to get full support for the implementation of the new approach defined.

  • Provide alignment with vendors and benchmark with Best Practices

  • Promote “standardization”, i.e. operating by conforming to a set of shared standards, in order to:

  • Increase quality, because work is done in a predefined, optimized way

  • Increase productivity, because there is no need to (re)invent how to do things

  • Promote reusability, enable consistency and apples to apples comparison

  • Decrease overall costs

  • Define and implement consistency, repeatability, reusability, industrialization through solutions that can be measured

  • Coordinate the preparation of training material and training plan on new approach to be supplied to impacted functions.

  • Build and deploy a culture of Continuous Improvement.

  • Focus on implementing an e2e traceability of the delivery performances across software development lifecycle, in terms of time to market and cost efficiency

  • Work with the Productivity Improvement and Cost Efficiency Leader to make sure metrics and associated processes are the right ones to support productivity improvements

  • Ensure overall quality:

  • Work with QA leaders and make sure QA processes are fully aligned with metrics and measurement processes

  • Work with QA and development leaders to make sure methods, metrics and tools are aligned with CMMI practices

  • Identify and drive change and the supporting activities for the successful integration of delivery standards, controls and processes into CT's delivery groups

  • Evaluates the effectiveness and appropriateness of tools and methodologies to deliver against current and future delivery performance needs

  • Serve as an effective counselor, mentor and coach for counselees and mentees

Skills and attributes for success

  • Solid knowledge and working experience in design and implementation of continuous improvement plans related to software development.

  • Solid knowledge and working experience in complex transformations and building high performing organizations.

  • Clear background in supporting senior leaders and working directly with large corporation C-suite or equivalent leadership is preferred.

  • Technical expertise: strong understanding of process improvement techniques and experience applying these

  • Financials skills: understanding of key levers for structural improvement of the cost base

  • Organization skills: organized and committed to meeting deadlines

  • Leadership skills: able to lead by example, inspire other team members, set the direction

  • Manifests the highest analytical and problem- solving abilities to negotiate and manage complex and conflicting issues under management, handle ambiguity as well as multiple and shifting priorities and to drive asset management and other assigned activities into ones that are financially sound and operationally feasible.

  • Adapts communication style to the style of others. Develops rapport and remains calm under pressure. Builds strong relationships across all levels of a matrixed, geographically and culturally dispersed organization using advanced oral and written English communication skills. Utilizes all aspects of Emotional Intelligence to navigate the interactions and complexities of the business environment and drive leadership performance in oneself and in others.

  • Maintains advanced interpersonal skills to engage strategically with peers and other senior executives of the firm, in cross business aligned discussions within a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization and to build a solid network for collaboration and knowledge sharing

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 10+ years of experience in managing senior management and management staff in Technology improvement programs with the knowledge and skills listed above

  • 10+ years of experience in Consulting and designing and driving Operational improvements

  • Experience working in Software product development projects using traditional as well as Agile methodologies

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working with ADO
