Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Controller located in TONAWANDA, New York. In this role, you will be part of an industry where you will manage our financial systems, supervise our accounting team, and help us maintain financial health.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Ensuring compliance with legal and company accounting regulations
• Implementing and managing budget processes
• Conducting regular auditing and creating detailed reports on audit findings
• Overseeing payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Managing fixed asset accounting and cash forecasting activities
• Coordinating with our team to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide compliance
• Evaluating, developing, and improving financial systems and processes
• Managing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues swiftly and professionally. Requirements • Proficiency in Auditing and understanding of audit workpapers
• Experience in Budget Processes and Cash Forecasting
• Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting
• Ability to handle Payroll responsibilities efficiently
• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Knowledge of relevant software applications and tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• detail oriented certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is preferred.
