ProMedica Health System System Director - Wound Care Services - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio
Under the direction of the Jobst Vascular Institute President/CMO, Associate Vice President, and Wound Care Medical Director, directs the strategic, clinical, operational, educational, marketing, and quality assurance activities of all system Jobst Vascular Institute - ProMedica Wound Care sites. Promotes high-quality, standardized patient care by representing acute and ambulatory wound care operations across ProMedica. Functions as Operations Director over the ProMedica Physicians Jobst Wound Care Practice. Incorporates the philosophy and mission of ProMedica and Jobst Vascular Institute in all services provided. As an integral part of the service team, continuously validates customer expectations, taking appropriate actions to achieve continuous improvements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for development and implementation of system wide Wound Care strategic plan. Accountable for benchmarking and reporting clinical, financial and quality objectives and implementing short and long-range activities to achieve service line objectives. Develops and presents business plans to senior leadership as required to achieve strategic initiatives.
Responsible for budget development and forecasting for all wound care hospital outpatient departments and PPG provider budget. Responds to variances and oversees action plans to meet financial targets.
In collaboration with Jobst Wound Care Division and leadership, identifies market growth opportunities and provider need. Responsible for recruitment and hiring of all would care staff and providers. Forecasts regional staffing needs for current and future wound care sites.
Responsible for management of the inpatient enterostomal therapy services for all system hospitals and ensuring standardized care and efficient transition of patients between services.
Collaborates with all acute care facilities on inpatient wound services and training needs for inpatient staff as part of integrated Wound Care services.
Actively participates on system vascular/wound clinical value analysis team to identify opportunities for product standardization to improve care and reduce expense. Participates in research, educational and clinical value analysis activities to support standardization and best practice.
Represents Jobst Vascular Institute – ProMedica Wound Care services on teams dedicated to improving wound care in long-term care facilities including HCR and non-ProMedica facilities.
Leads front-line supervisors through facilitation, coaching, ongoing training and role-modeling leadership behaviors to enhance quality patient care and foster employee development. Monitors staff performance and employee engagement and takes appropriate action when necessary. Completes annual performance evaluations per the hospital guidelines.
Oversees best clinical practice application and assigns resources as needed to implement best clinical practices at all ProMedica Wound Care sites.
Works with regional wound care leads/managers and local administration to implement best practices in wound care with the goal of standardizing care and quality.
Responsible for overseeing quality and provider meetings and following up on action items.
Participates in hospital committees and performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the service line. Education: Bachelor’s degree Nursing. Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Health Care Related Field current or within 2 years of hire.
Skills: Must have ability to effectively manage multiple departments. Must demonstrate success in process improvement techniques and customer service.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years progressive leadership experience
License: Dual RN license in Ohio & Michigan required.
Certification: Must maintain BLS certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills: Demonstration of advanced communication/facilitation skills
Certification: Completion of CWS or CWON. Must be completed by an accredited program

Physical Demands: Must be able to occasionally move, lift and/or carry very heavy objects and materials. Must be able to visually tolerate exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.
