General Summary:
Work closely with Mercy EMS Medical Directors and Northwest Ohio EMS Consortium (NWOEMS-C) to standardize and improve EMS and Prehospital care in the Northwest Ohio Region. With over 50 municipal, county, and corporate EMS entities, as well as the entire Mercy Transport Network, The Mercy Health EMS Division is setting the standard of prehospital care in the region.
Essential Job Functions
Ensure open lines of communication with EMS/Fire Chiefs and training officers
Attend meetings with area hospitals and free-standing EDs to standardize and coordinate prehospital care throughout the region
Supervise administrative assistant and EMS Educator
Coordinate of continuing education schedules for all EMS agencies and Physicians
Maintain EMSD calendar
Monitor, Update, and Maintain NWOEMS website and Email accounts
Track contracts and invoices routed through TEAMhealth
Maintain records of all EMS providers and credentialing, licensure, and training compliance status within the EMS Consortium
Maintain accounting of budget, expenditures, and purchasing process for EMSD
Inventory and maintain simulation and education equipment
Oversee purchasing of supplies, uniforms, and capital purchases
Other duties as directed by the EMS Division Medical Director.
Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree
Licensure/Certification Required: Paramedic
Licensure/Certification Preferred: RN
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 10 years’ experience
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Active ACLS, PALS and EMS instructor or agree to receive within 2 months of hire
