ProMedica Health System ITS Principal Trainer I - ITS Provider OpEx - Full Time - Days - Remote in Toledo, Ohio

The Principal Trainer I at ProMedica is responsible for the training program for one Epic application. This position maintains expert knowledge on an Epic application as well as operational workflows at ProMedica. The Principal Trainer reviews lesson plans and materials for accuracy and completeness and works closely with the application team. This role is also responsible for assisting in the development of eLearning’s. If not already certified, the Principal Trainer attends Epic application training and must earn certification requirements within 3 months of completing the first Epic class. Principal Trainers are expected to work independently as needed; they interact with stakeholders across ProMedica and must demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions. The position reports to the Training Supervisor and works closely with application project managers to achieve the goal of building and maintaining training environments. All level advancement is at the discretion of the Training Management team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise

Gain or have already achieved one Epic certification in the appropriate application. Build, test, and maintain the training technical environment in cooperation with Epic and ProMedica analysts. Create and maintain high-quality training materials including the curriculum, user guides, lesson plans, and presentations. Train and credential additional trainers if needed. Teach your curriculum to end users and others. Maintain policy and procedure documentation for your application. Coordinate for your application all post-live training, including new updates and hires and ongoing optimization. Coordinate super users training for your application. Assist with eLearning development for your application.

This position can be worked remote.

Education: Associate Degree or equivalent relevant experience Skills: Strong computer skills and a technical aptitude are necessary. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective self-motivation and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate a dynamic presentation style, professionalism, and trouble-shooting capabilities. Display a personal passion for educating others; create an engaging learning environment and enhance the end user learning experience through creativity, enthusiasm, and high energy. Years of Experience: 2 years of relevant experience Certification: Must earn certification requirements within 3 months of completing the first Epic class within designated Epic application.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s Degree in education, information technology, business, or related field. Skills: Experience with providing education to adult learners. Experience with providing computer-based learning. Knowledge of health care operations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Years of Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in the role of an educator in industry and/or academic settings.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Must be able to occasionally move, lift and/or carry medium-weight objects and materials.

Salary Range: $32,240 - $85,696
