Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Toledo, Ohio

Description Look no further, Human Resources Managers. Robert Half is partnering with a growing client to immediately hire a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Your responsibilities

  • Organize historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

  • Evaluate reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

  • Analyze compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

  • Be responsible for exit interviews and procedures

  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings with other managers

  • Be familiar with and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

  • Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

  • Lead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Set up management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

  • Manage the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

  • Inform employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

  • Oversee all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team Requirements - 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources

  • 5+ years in human resources

  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred

  • Ability to view issues objectively

  • Knowledge of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office

  • A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations

  • Wide knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure

  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

  • Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Background in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant field
