Reports to: Leave of Absence Lead Span of Control: Individual Contributor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FMLA Program Administration and Compliance Develop and implement company policies and procedures related to FMLA compliance, ensuring they align with the law and address the specific needs of the organization. Review and evaluate employee requests for FMLA leave to determine eligibility based on the prescribed criteria, communicate decisions to employees, and provide guidance on next steps. Manage the overall administration of FMLA leaves, including coordinating leave requests, tracking leave time, and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements. Collaborate with HR personnel and supervisors to ensure smooth leave management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FMLA regulations and ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant. Conducting regular audits to monitor adherence to FMLA policies and identifying areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to FMLA leaves, including leave requests, certifications, approvals, and return-to-work documentation. Generate reports and analyze leave data to identify trends and patterns. Assess the effectiveness of the organization's FMLA program and identify opportunities for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience. Employee Education & Experience Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate employees about their rights and responsibilities under the FMLA including eligibility requirements, leave duration, documentation processes, and any other relevant details. Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking information or assistance regarding their FMLA rights.
