Communications Lead Location(s): Toledo, OH, US, 43659-0001 Function: Communications Audience: Experienced Professional Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requisition ID: 62368 PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Communications Lead executes communication strategies for key priorities and initiatives to engage employees, and external stakeholders, communicate goals and milestones, and enhance leader connection, impact, and reputation. In addition, this role will support other communication initiatives by effectively developing messaging and protecting and enhancing the Owens Corning brand. Reports to: Communications Leader Span of Control: No direct reports Location: Hybrid; within driving distance of Toledo or Columbus, Ohio, preferred JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and execute communication strategy, and provide counsel, partnership, and support to leaders to achieve defined outcomes. Partner with initiative leaders and cross-functional teams to effectively articulate enterprise growth strategies and initiative goals, and to ensure that employees understand how they connect and contribute - both individually and as a team - to the growth and success of the company Work in concert with regional, business, and functional communications colleagues to effectively deliver integrated and unified communications voice and messaging across the global enterprise. Align strategies, tactics, and messages with the business, functional, regional, and corporate communications teams, as well as the over-arching Corporate Affairs strategy. Execute communications deliverables including managing editorial calendars and internal content, recognition programs, and supporting the execution of internal events. Provide communication counsel and expertise to specific leaders, enhancing the leader and company's reputation among internal and key external stakeholders. Assist specific leaders in developing and executing key communication deliverables including town halls and other internal communication deliverables associated with strategic initiatives. Develop key messaging and ensure consistency among the leadership team. Provide coaching on communication strategy and execution, as well as message and content development and delivery for specific leaders. Interface and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver consistent and impactful messaging and external-facing work products. Identify and pursue conferences, media events, etc. the elevate the profile of the company. Prepare materials and counsel leaders for engagements. Support the development and execution of an owned content strategy including web, blogs, executive social media and other outlets. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, media, or related discipline. 5+ years of experience in a communications role PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strategic communication and execution for internal and external audiences Demonstrated aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans, delivering flawless project execution and a commitment to deadlines for high-priority communication initiatives. Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate cross-business and cross-functional alliances with global partners. Demonstrated ability to write and produce content for multiple audiences and stakeholders in a variety of mediums. Experience working with news media, and/or creating materials for media distribution. ; sustainability or innovation communication experience a plus. Crisis communication experience.<
