*Responsibilities *

  •  Conduct assessments to identify students who require intervention in specific areas (reading, math, writing, behavior).
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or other intervention plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct instruction to students in small group or one-on-one settings, incorporating evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Monitor student progress through data collection and progress monitoring tools, making adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure consistency between intervention and classroom instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, intervention goals, and strategies used.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in intervention.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Qualifications

 

Ohio teaching and Intervention Specialist license for corresponding grade level, or the ability to obtain a license

Knowledge of Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession and Special Education
