Amazon Senior Marketing Manager for JP Hardlines, Amazon in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Amazon is seeking for an experienced Sr. Marketing Manager who will bring innovative ideas and analytical ability to drive several strategic marketing initiatives across Hardlines (Home, Toys, Sports, Automotive, Home Improvement, Electronics, Major Appliance, etc), by defining the ultimate customer experience, generating demand / traffic, awareness and inspiration through development and execution of comprehensive marketing plan.

A successful candidate will be customer focused, highly analytical with the ability to synthesize data into actionable changes, team-oriented, and be able to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver results. You will be able to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (managing campaigns with site merchandising tools, analysing traffic data, and solving problems). You will test and learn, and be empowered to quickly scale and deliver ideas that work to millions of customers.

Key job responsibilities

•Lead as "business owner" by developing and driving initiatives to achieve business objectives at strategic as well as tactical level

•Building of deep understanding with Hardline customer and industry

•Develop cooperative marketing programs to drive brand awareness and sales, working alongside with leading vendors in the industry

•Build a mechanism to track progress, accelerate adoption and find a way to scale the programs

•Drive traffic growth from multiple sources, including free and paid search, email marketing, affiliate marketing, social media, mobile and on-site placements

A day in the life

This position will be mainly working with all Hardline Categories in JP, central marketing team, public relation, tech and US/EU marketing managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Fluent Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
