Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Data Centre ICT Engineer to join our team. This position involves overseeing and meeting Customer Specific Service Level/KPI Agreements, contributing to the development and successful operation of the Managed Services function, and working with colleagues to develop and implement departmental strategy, objectives, and improvement processes. The role requires availability to work on a shift rotation basis covering 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and to support other team members when needed. The Intermediate ICT Engineer will work closely with the ICT Shift Leader to ensure requests are delivered within expected timelines, and will maintain positive relationships with customers to promote the company's image.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to the rules and regulations as documented in the standards concerning Buildings and Communications rooms.
Make sure all work completed is carried out to the standard expected by the client.
Escalate any issues or concerns relating to the Data Halls or work on site to the Shift Leader or CBRE ICT Infrastructure Manager in a timely fashion.
Ensure that your Shift Leader/Shift Manager and ICT Infrastructure Manager are made aware of any absence or lateness as per company procedure.
Ensure that emails and job queues are checked on a regular basis and actioned where necessary and completed within timeframes.
Assist the ICT Shift Leader by surveying all Service Now requests upon receipt and ensure that sufficient infrastructure/cable management and cab specification installed are correct, notify the ICT Shift Leader should any issues be found.
Carry out racking/stacking, patching, break fix tasks, decommissioning, infrastructure installations, cabinet modifications and hardware tasks as per relevant procedure documents.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are preferred.
2-3 years of experience in data centre maintenance and repair, including experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the data centre's physical and network infrastructure or relevant experience.
Experience with server and storage hardware and software, network devices, and other data centre equipment.
Problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Business English and Business/Conversational Japanese

7:00-16:00 / 12:30-21:30
