Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our General Aviation (GA) shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting aircraft avionics maintenance, repairs, and upgrades while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Conduct aircraft avionics maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Provide exceptional customer service to maintenance customers.
Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Provide leadership and guidance to mechanic apprentices, ensuring proper training, certification, and performance standards are met.
Collaborate with other departments, including flight operations, flight school, and aircraft management, to optimize aircraft maintenance processes and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, and modifications, in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Coordinate with external maintenance vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Avionics Technician (prior General Aviation experience highly preferred).
Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices for various types of aircraft.
Familiarity with avionics troubleshooting and installation in GA aircraft.
Experience with Avidyne, Aspen, Dynon, PSI, JPI, & Garmin products.
Strong understanding of aviation regulations, including FAA/EASA requirements and industry standards.
Proficiency in using avionics tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
