Job Description
A leading manufacturing company in Toano, Virginia is hiring for a Machine Operator. This company has been around for over 50 years and specializes in Manufacturing, Coating, and Chroming of parts for the Automotive Industry and the Military. It is a world-class, automotive-certified, high-volume plated facility that provides precision hard chrome plating and anodizing services. The facility serves industrial and firearm markets and focuses on high volume products ranging from 1 to 10 million pieces per year. The product development and operations team, which includes 9 engineers, designs custom tooling and processes to achieve high precision plating of a few microns. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain production equipment, including tools, PLCs, and HMIs.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Document and report equipment performance and maintenance activities.
Assist in the implementation of process improvements and new technologies.
Train and support production staff on equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse. Duties are performed primarily in a high-volume manufacturing environment, working with both manual and automated equipment. Employees will sometimes experience extreme temperatures (heat and cold). Safety procedures are strictly followed, and any unsafe work conditions or practices are reported to the supervisor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toano, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
