The Power Workers’ Union Hiring Hall requires individuals to work as Radiation Safety Technicians through the PWU Hiring Hall. The PWU supplies casual resources to Bruce Power to support their work programs.

Job Title: Radiation Safety Technician
Location: Tiverton, ON
Status: PWU Hiring Hall, 40-hour work week
Shiftwork: Yes
Job Overview:
Safety Technicians provide radiation safety and radiation emergency preparedness technical advice and assistance to internal and external personnel. They obtain, analyze and evaluate radiation operating, maintenance and technical data. They carry out special projects and participate in work planning through the evaluation of safety impacts. Radiation safety technicians prepare work plans for radiation safety in accordance with established guidelines and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of radiation equipment instruments and control devices.
Educational Requirements:
Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
Two years of community college in a Technician/Technologist discipline or equivalent, or Completion of the Radiation Protection Training program at Ontario Power Generation or Bruce Power, or successful completion of the North East Utility Examination (NEUE).
