Job Title: Seed Lab Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Seed Lab Technician, where you will be an integral part of our quality assurance process. Your primary responsibilities will include rolling various seeds (corn, soybean, wheat) on paper towels and wax paper, placing them in a germinator, and evaluating the resulting seedlings for viability. Data entry of your findings into a tablet will be required to track and maintain quality metrics. A thorough training program of 30 days will prepare you for this role, and perfect attendance is mandatory during this period.
Responsibilities
Conduct standard germination testing on seeds such as corn, wheat, soy, and sorghum.
Roll dozens of seeds on paper towels and wax paper, then place them into a germinator.
Evaluate the quality of seedlings, identifying live, dead, or abnormal specimens.
Enter findings into a tablet for data tracking and quality control.
Participate in training to learn planting techniques and the use of evaluation machines.
Maintain accuracy in performance and data entry.
Collaborate with a team in a high-energy lab environment.
Adhere to attendance requirements, especially during peak times.
Essential Skills

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Tipton, IN, within a high-energy laboratory setting with a team of 30-50 workers. The work involves a combination of sitting and standing for long periods, in a temperature-controlled environment. Attire is business casual—collared shirt, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. The standard shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended hours during peak periods.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
