Robert Half Principle Sales Engineer in TINLEY PARK, Illinois
We are seeking a knowledgeable, passionate Principal Sales Engineer I. The successful candidate will have proven experience in helping sell, shape and deliver complex technology solutions to partners. Our Sales Engineers are instrumental in helping the Sales Team succeed by providing partners technical management of their solution from initial design of the solution through to going live. The candidate must have excellent collaboration and communication skills backed up by strong technical knowledge and experience in the Payments domain.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Sales Teams in qualifying leads by using their deep understanding of product offerings to determine initial feasibility
Provide product knowledge support to Sales – Develop a deep product knowledge and understanding of the available solutions and products
Provide technical demonstrations of APIs and applications to both technical and non-technical audiences, providing a more in-depth overview of the potential solutions when required
Design technical solutions – gather requirements from prospective partners and the Sales Team in order to design a best-in-class solution and craft a clear and concise Statement of Work
Manage the implementation of the solution, communicating regularly with our partners and engineering teams to ensure the smooth development of the partner’s solution
Assist in the “Go Live” of developed solutions and be available to walk through and troubleshoot any issues that may come up during the go live period
Provide ‘aftercare’ support for any recently integrated solutions
Work with our Product Teams to be constantly providing market feedback on our solutions and propose product enhancements gathered from customer feedback
8+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering role
6+ years of experience working within the Payments domain
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Strong people skills with an engaging presentation and written communication style
Extremely partner-focused with a pro-active attitude
Strong collaborative skills and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments, working across multiple internal disciplines including Product, Sales, Marketing and Engineering
Strong technical aptitude, specifically with web services and APIs, to be able to quickly understand the capabilities and breadth of the platform.
