About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented License Engineer to join our team. The License Engineer will be responsible for overseeing aspects of software license management within the organization, including compliance and usage monitoring, cost optimization, and vendor management.

Who we are looking for

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

Work experience

  • Proven experience in software license management, procurement, and compliance

  • Certification in software asset management or related field (e.g., Certified Software Asset Manager) is a plus

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for software license procurement, compliance, and optimization

  • Maintain a central repository of all software license agreements, contracts, and entitlements

  • Monitor software usage and license compliance, identifying and addressing any non-compliance issues

  • Optimize software license usage to minimize costs and ensure efficient utilization of resources

  • Negotiate with software vendors to obtain favorable licensing terms and volume discounts

  • Manage relationships with software vendors, including communication regarding licensing requirements and dispute resolution

  • Provide training and raising awareness about software licensing policies to ensure that employees understand their responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain software license management tools and systems to automate tasks and improve efficiency

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of software usage and license agreements to ensure ongoing compliance

  • Provide training and support to employees on software licensing policies and procedures

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with software licensing, including legal and financial risks

  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, terms and agreements

  • Familiarity with license management tools and systems

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
