Eaton Corporation Project Buyer in Tijuana, Mexico
Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Project Buyer.
What you’ll do:
The primary function of the Project Buyer is to support the insourcing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) from various suppliers into Eaton eMobility’s Tijuana facility. The Project Buyer makes sure that new purchased components are sourced in accordance with Eaton and eMobility policies and leveraging ONE Eaton supply base. The Project Buyer ensures timely completion of activities to support on-target project launches and minimizes BOM cost to achieve budgeted product financials.
Job Responsibilities:
1 Owns and maintains accurate cost of Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) at all times. Reports BOM cost to management.
2 Collaborates with eMobility Procurement Buyer on RFQ strategy and execution utilizing the Eaton Standard Sourcing Process
3 Ensures full leverage of Eaton Global Procurement Office tools and resources.
4 Ensures mandatory due diligence is performed and accountable for reporting/tracking potential savings.
5 Ensures 100% compliance with Eaton enterprise-wide category and supplier strategies.
6 Owns the Mobility Sourcing Council process, drives a collaborative approach across all functions to nominate suppliers for awards.
7 Champions negotiations with suppliers to ensure safety stocks at supplier site or on-site consignment support is committed by suppliers.

9 Ensures parts are sourced and fully set-up in SAP on-time to overall project timeline.
10 Minimizes BOM cost by fully leveraging all of Eaton's strategic suppliers, should-cost analysis, TCO and negotiations.

- Bachelor Degree
Years and area of experience required:
- Minimum 3 years in a sourcing position, minimum 2 years experience with electronic components
Technical knowledge:
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), MS Office Excel, Word
