This position is responsible for the overall scheduling for National Machinery LLC's production based on Global Sales and Operations plans.

 

*Responsibilities:   *

  • Analyze sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to create a detailed production plan that aligns with business goals and delivery requirements.
  • Work directly with appropriate departments to ensure machining and assembly resources, labor, equipment capacity and capability align with Master Production Schedule. 
  • Work alongside the purchasing department to ensure all procurement activities are in-line with Master Production Schedule.
  • Work with the appropriate departments to maintain awareness on availability and/or upcoming demand of labor or equipment resources.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, BOM, Planning and Scheduling personnel to align all upstream processes to release components and assembly for manufacturing or procurement to align with required deadlines.
  • Work closely with Production Machining, Fabrication, Electrical Assembly Manager and Quality Manager to align manufacturing and assembly activities to achieve milestone dates to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates schedules with global subsidiaries to level production load across resources, to identify economies of scale and align with geographical core competencies.
  • Participate in insourcing versus outsourcing discussions to support accuracy of MPS.
  • Identify variances against planned rates to drive corrective actions.
  • Participate in long-term capacity planning discussions ensuring Master Production Schedule can support company growth goals.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and logistics teams to communicate production schedules, address potential issues, and manage customer expectations.
  • Generate regular reports on production status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and inventory levels to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Use enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to manage production schedules.
  • Track production progress against the MPS, identifying and addressing any deviations or bottlenecks, and making necessary adjustments to the schedule as needed.
  • Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the scheduling process
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement new strategies, systems and processes to elevate the accuracy of the Master Production Schedule
  • All other duties as assigned

     

     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years of previous experience in a production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment us
