Leads the OD social media strategy, content strategy, creative development, and administers the day-to-day activity on all social channels to support the company’s business objectives. Overall responsible for the social media strategy working in partnership with the company’s advertising and PR agencies and internal leaders/departments to manage content across both paid and organic social media. Manages content scheduling, monitoring, and responding to user interactions. Analyzes performance metrics to optimize social media campaigns and reports on key insights to stakeholders. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices. Working cross-functionally with both agency and internal teams, supports OD business objectives by publicly positioning OD as an industry leader, differentiating OD’s premium service, unique family culture and strategically engaging with social audiences to influence conversations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

  • Create and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's business goals.

  • Establish partnership with OD agencies to develop organic and paid social media strategies and content calendars for all OD social channels, communicating and re-evaluating plans regularly to evolve activity as opportunities arise

  • Oversee creative development to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all social media platforms.

  • Develops creative and engaging content on all social media platforms through creative writing and editing.

  • Writes and publishes announcements for OD though all social media platforms.

  • Manage day-to-day activities on all social channels, including content scheduling and monitoring.

  • Respond to user interactions and maintain engagement with the online community.

  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize social media campaigns and strategies.

  • Report key insights and performance data to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.

  • Develop and manage social media advertising campaigns to support broader marketing initiatives.

  • Provide regular reports on social media to management

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • BS/MS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Experience:

  • 4+ years of administering a social media program

  • Demonstrated excellence in copywriting and editing experience for a variety of platforms

  • Project management working on multiple tasks simultaneously within timelines and budgets

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated experience developing relevant and compelling content for a variety of channels

  • Familiarity with social media monitoring tools such as Sprout Social
