You will help build trust in a vision where business value and decisions are driven through the thoughtful and innovative use of data. The primary responsibility of the Data and Analytics Analyst is contributing to a more inspiring, innovative, and exciting DigiKey by leveraging their passion around data analytics, consulting and educating to enable their business partners to be more efficient and effective. This role will partner with a variety of individuals in the business to understand their data and processes to enhance and improve the data and their use of the data resulting in the creation of more innovative and engaging actionable insights that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable. Responsibilities: Trusted partner and consultant with the business on the use of data analytics by advocating the collection, analysis, and translation of data into actionable insights Support the strategic vision of data centricity within the organization Work closely with senior analysts to elicit and understand business problems and discover data gaps Work with team members to understand data assets and analytic tools Help team members determine the most effective solutions to analytics problems Maintain a data analytics online library to facilitate data exploration and analysis Function as a liaison between the business and the data teams in IT when exploring business problems and designing solutions to meet the business needs * Assist in leading and managing business partners and data projects. * Support the development of and facilitation of the curriculum and content for the DigiKey Data-Centric Academy. The goal of this academy is to empower DigiKey team members to think more analytically and use data to improve decision-making on a daily basis Work with more senior Analysts, business subject matter experts, and Learning & Development on developing Data-Centric Academy content Identify participants Facilitate the education and learning of DigiKey team members to develop their analytical thinkingskills and data savviness to help improve decision making. Review and update existing DigiKey customized Data-Centric Academy content as needed Create Videos and other learning content in training development software Data-Centric DigiKey SharePoint Content Management Assist senior analysts with Communities of Practice and Knowledge Management Work with Business Data Analysts to identify existing knowledge to be curated along with identify and fill knowledge gaps to be maintained in a centralized knowledge repository Act as a technical mentor to associate analysts and business users Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: GED or High School Diploma 2+ Years of SQL, MicroStrategy and Tableau Experience partnering with or working in the following business functions: Operations, Finance, etc. Experience facilitating, presenting educational and/or learning content to adults ideally around analytics, research, information technology or applied research Experience mentoring, developing and facilitating learning for adults, ideally around analytics, research, information technolo y, or applied research Prior experience in using data in a business setting to drive decisions Knowledge of data, data literacy, reporting and analysis Proven ability to discover and present a business story using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and promotes understanding and consensus building. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a strong customer focus Stays current with new and evolving technology via formal training and self-directed education Self-motivated and disciplined, with capacity to be highly productive working under pressure and within time constraints Ability to work productively in both team and independent settings Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with a variety of groups including technical and non-technical audiences Tools/Systems/Software: SQL, MicroStrategy and Tableau Full Micrsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Power Apps Physical Requirements: Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body .
