Overview: As a Senior User Experience Designer for Conn’s HomePlus, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the vision for the Conns.com eCommerce experience. We are expanding our eCommerce UX team to create a best-in-class customer experience across all touchpoints of our digital business (search, checkout, finance, customer accounts, order management, product pages, content pages, etc.). We are a retailer and finance company, so the eCommerce challenges require UX/Product thinkers who embrace opportunities to build innovative solutions.
As a Senior UX Designer for our eCommerce team, you will be a hands-on, end-to-end contributor for the ideation, research, design, testing, delivery and validation of products associated with world-class UX solutions. Our team structure provides Designers with the ability to take an idea all the way from concept through post-launch learning. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers to define the user strategy; and own the hands-on creation of experience design deliverables across initiatives including user-flow analysis, wireframing, interaction design, UI design, and execution. Your experience and designs will ensure we achieve the highest level of usability, desirability, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Leading and solving complex problems while working with others to create industry leading product experiences
Hands-on design and pixel-perfect asset development using a deep understanding of human factor issues and principles
Maintain a unified set of UX and visual guidelines that promotes collaboration and efficiency between UX and engineering
Defining, executing, analyzing, interpreting and sponsoring user research activities on product design, usage and usability in laboratory or field settings using a broad range of quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques, and applying findings in product design that align with business strategy.
Articulating design decisions and presenting work to various audiences at all levels both virtually, and in person
Bring visual work to life and accurately portray intended experiences through prototyping
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Technology, Business or other related field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree on a year-for-year basis
5+ years of UX/Product Design experience for a B2C site or similar
High level of comfort and expertise working with digital design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Baseline understanding of front-end development languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, Storybook, Bootstrap, etc.
Experience with creating and maintaining visual design systems
Preferred Experience
Experience with retail or customer-facing financial product sites
Experience with eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, etc.
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of front-end development languages and frameworks listed above.
