WorkSource Oregon Wildland Firefighter Engine Boss in The Dalles, Oregon
Currently seeking Engine Boss with with NWCG Certification for the 2025 fire season. This is a Direct Hire position through staffing agency. Resumes may also be brought to our office at 1707 NW 6th St Redmond OR. Wage is \$40.00 to \$60.00 per hour, DOE. To be an Engine Boss you must: Be 18 years of age or older. Have a current valid Driver\'s License. Be drug-free. Have current NWCG certification for Engine Boss. Take a walking test with a backpack. (All applicants) Live within two hours from one of our bases, either Maupin OR or LaPine OR. Expect arduous work 8 to 16 hours per day on average during fire calls. Have 8\" high leather boots, with no steel toes. All other PPE\'s will be provided. This is a seasonal, \"call when needed\" position. It will require travel within Oregon and Washington for 1 to 21 days at a time without returning home. Food and lodging are provided while working. Employer will conduct pre-employment drug screen.
