Job Description
The Position Profile is for Hardware Engineering for Cranes Application.
Profile demands –
Ø Knowledge of Industry & Port Crane application.
Ø Product range starts from HT Power supply (HT Switchgear, Transformer, Cable Reeling Drum etc.), LV Switchgear Panel, Motors, UPS, Lighting Solutions, Load Measurement System, Drive (VFD) Panels, PLC Panels, Crane Management System (Local / Remote), Data Communication System to Central Yard Management Station, Cable engineering etc.
Job demands –
Ø Support to customer/consultant to prepare the enquiry specification from inception stage of the project to meet the desired performance of the crane including safety requirements.
Ø Study of enquiry specification & contract document AND preparation of engineering inputs with deviation list & optimized configuration
Ø Preparation of Single Line Diagram, System Configuration, detailed Bill of Material, Panel IGA and OGA, Control Philosophy etc.
Ø Selection and sizing of cables, Cable trays etc. Preparation of cable schedule.
Ø Preparation of enquiry specification for bought out items. Accurate technical inputs to vendors. Validation of drawing for brought-ot item.
Ø Knowledge of IEC, IS, UL standard have as additional advantage.
Ø Preparation of Attending kick off meeting and all technical meetings during execution phase of the project.
Ø Verification & integration of all drawings, documents, data sheets (including vendor drawings and plant engineering drawings).
Ø Ensure timely completion of Engineering, manufacturing progress monitoring the satisfaction of customer.
Ø Testing and inspection of panels at supplier’s place.
Ø Support Commissioning engineers from remote or at site for satisfactory performance of the system.
Qualification
B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics
Experience
3-5 years in Designing & Commissioning of Drives & PLC Solution for Cranes application*
Skill Sets/ Knowledge / Competencies
Basic knowledge of VFDs & PLCs cabinet engineering, Knowledge of Crane application AND Competency in Plant Engineering will be of added advantage.
