Job Description

The role is responsible for end-to-end supply chain activities for the North American Chemical Analysis Division business operations. In this role, you will lead, Supply Chain Operations for the region and be accountable for activities related to material availability, inventory performance, and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Supply Chain operations in the area of procurement, production planning, product data management, and distribution center operations, using our MRP system(s) to plan, execute, and ensure timely receipt of materials, working closely with cross functional teams to continuously improve inventory optimization and order fulfillment.

  • Lead a standard Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process for the business region

  • Motivate and develop staff to optimize performance and professional growth. Set department priorities, implement and track progress. Develop a talent development and acquisition strategy to continuously improve the supply chain function.

  • Support site manufacturing and distribution activities in all aspects of materials in close coordination with all stakeholders, including sourcing, planning, production, distribution, sales, and finance.

  • Interface with the relevant corporate sourcing teams to drive improvements to all key procurement metrics, support growth, and mitigate risk.

  • Drive the material flow and availability strategy and measure and improve material availability. Advance the inventory planning approach and achieve inventory targets

  • Lead the standard set of critical supply chain metrics to drive business results and to serve as early warning signs of problem performance e.g. inventory health, schedule adherence, OTIF

  • Closely partner with operations leadership to support achievement of Annual Operating Plans.

  • Apply continuous improvement tools and processes to drive performance improvement

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of relevant supply chain management experience, with at least 5 years of people management experience.

  • Lean Manufacturing certification or Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification an asset and APICS certification is strongly recommended

  • Experience in GMP and regulated environment

  • Knowledge of business systems and information technology for leading sophisticated supply chain activities.

  • Very strong written and oral communicator with validated ability to think conceptually and pragmatically; capable of communicating with senior executives and becoming a trusted resource and advisor on subject matter.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
